Riverside
Riverside is the default recommendation for a remote interview show that also wants social clips. Each participant is recorded locally at up to 4K video and 48kHz audio, then uploaded progressively while you talk, so a dropped connection usually does not cost you the episode. Guests join from a browser link with no install, and the mic check catches the classic wrong-input problem before you start rather than after. The built-in editor, AI clip generator and captions mean you can leave a session with a rough cut and three vertical clips without opening another tool. In our testing the web app occasionally wobbled on very long sessions, and guests still need reminding to close everything else on their machine. It is not the cheapest option, and the highest recording limits sit on upper tiers. But for video-forward podcasting it does the most in one place, which is why it rates 8.6 in our review.
