Komi is a link-in-bio mini-site with a brand-deal marketplace attached, and its Pro plan pairs a 0% fee on digital products with a custom domain for $16 a month billed annually. The weakness is what Komi doesn't publish: the trial length, fees on anything other than Pro digital sales, and how sales payouts work.
What it does well
A cheap 0% plan. Komi's pricing page lists Pro at $20 a month, or $16 a month billed annually, with a 0% fee on digital product sales. It also includes unlimited email campaigns, a Meta pixel, branding removal and a custom domain. Komi's FAQ says you set up the domain by emailing support.
Brand deals on every plan. The free Starter plan includes access to Komi's brand-deal hub, a mini-site, unlimited content and affiliate links, analytics and unlimited fan contacts. Komi also sells a separate product to brands and agencies.
You can take your contacts with you. Komi's help center documents exporting contacts collected through its email and SMS sign-up form as a CSV, and importing contacts from CSV or Excel. That matters more than any feature on the pricing page.
Built-in email marketing on Pro. The help center covers campaigns, segments, templates, scheduling and sending from your own verified domain.
No limits on profiles or team members, according to Komi's pricing FAQ.
Where it falls short
Starter can't sell digital products. Komi's plan comparison marks digital products as Pro-only, and email sends as "No access" on Starter. Starter does include tipping and a "custom products" module, but Komi doesn't publish a fee for tips. Its help article describes custom products as a name, image, link and price, which reads like a link out to another checkout.
Fees and payouts are under-documented. Komi's creator terms say its fees can include subscription fees, transaction fees and fees for particular services, may vary by location and currency, and will be shown before you use a feature. We found no public article explaining how digital-product payouts reach you or which payment processor handles them. The only payout we found documented is for its Amazon affiliate catalog: PayPal, paid monthly for sales made two months earlier, with earnings tracking still in beta.
Trial length isn't stated. The Pro button says "Start Free Trial" without a duration.
Inconsistent naming. Komi's FAQ refers to a "Premium" plan that the pricing table no longer lists. We read it as Pro, but confirm before you pay.
No native email-tool sync. Komi wants to be your email platform. If you already use Kit or beehiiv, you'll be moving CSVs by hand.
Pricing in practice
From Komi's pricing page (shown in US dollars):
- Starter: Free. Mini-site, unlimited content and affiliate links, data capture, events, video, audio, tipping, analytics, brand deals. No digital products and no email sends.
- Pro: $20/mo billed monthly, or $16/mo billed annually (Komi advertises 20% off annual). Adds digital products at a 0% fee, unlimited email sends, Meta pixel, branding removal, custom domain and priority support.
Your payment processor's fee still applies to sales, but Komi doesn't name the processor publicly.
Example. Assumptions: Pro billed annually, 30 sales a month of a $25 guide ($750 gross), processor fees left out. Komi's cost is $16 a month, so about $192 a year by our math. A 9% fee on the same sales would be $67.50 a month.
Who should pick it (and who shouldn't)
Pick Komi if brand partnerships are your main income and you want a polished mini-site with a cheap 0% upgrade path for digital products and email.
Skip it if you need fully published fees and payout terms before you commit, or if your list already lives in Kit or beehiiv. Before upgrading, ask Komi support three things in writing: the trial length, the fee on tips, and how and when digital-product sales are paid out.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Beacons: the closest match, with a media kit and brand outreach tools and a published 0% fee from Creator Plus.
- Stan: a fully documented checkout with 0% platform fees, from $29 a month.
- Linktree: native Kit and beehiiv sync on Pro and up, though fees run up to 12% below Premium.
- Carrd: the cheapest way onto your own domain.
