★ THE REVIEW

LearnWorlds is the course platform we reach for when the course itself has to be the selling point. We built a six-module course with interactive video, graded assessments and a certificate, enrolled test students, and ran a live paid checkout end to end. The interactive video is the feature that earns the score: you can attach questions, links, downloads and branching choices to points in a lesson, so a passive watch becomes something a student answers. On our test cohort, completion behaviour visibly changed compared with the same content on a plain video player.

We tested LearnWorlds alongside the rest of our monetization reviews, including Stripe, Thinkific and Lemon Squeezy, so the score below is relative to that field.

The site builder is the other reason to choose it. Where most course platforms give you a themed page you tolerate, LearnWorlds gives you a real page editor with templates that do not look like course templates, plus a proper sales page, blog and community section. It is more work than dropping content into Teachable, and that is the honest trade — expect a weekend to build something you are proud of rather than an afternoon.

Commercially it is well equipped. Subscriptions, bundles, coupons, order bumps and an affiliate program are all first-party, so you are not stitching a funnel together with plugins. Assessment depth and SCORM support also make it the easiest platform here to sell into a company. What you should not do is buy it for email: the built-in campaigns are functional and nothing more, so keep Kit or MailerLite alongside it.

EDITOR'S NOTE
"Interactive video is the only course-platform feature we tested that changed how students behaved, not just how the page looked."

The pricing needs reading carefully. The Starter plan is cheap monthly but takes a $5 fee on every course sale, which quietly beats the price of the next tier once you sell steadily; Pro Trainer removes the fee and adds the features most sellers actually want. If your course is a modest video series and speed to launch matters more than craft, Thinkific will get you selling faster for less. If the learning experience is your differentiator, LearnWorlds is the strongest platform we have tested.
