★ THE REVIEW

Adobe Express started as a rushed reaction to Canva and has quietly turned into a real product. The editor is fast, the templates are tasteful rather than clip-arty, and the generative fill and text effects powered by Firefly are commercially safe in a way that matters if you sell what you make.

Where it wins is typography and output. Adobe Fonts is right there, exports are clean, and anything you start in Express can be opened properly in Photoshop or Illustrator when it needs real work. For a creator already paying for Creative Cloud, Express is effectively free and removes the reason to keep a second subscription.

EDITOR'S NOTE
"The first Adobe app that feels like it was made for people in a hurry."

Where it loses is breadth and speed of iteration. Canva has more templates, more collaboration features, and a bigger ecosystem of print and video extras. Express is the better craftsperson; Canva is the better factory.
