THE SHORT ANSWER

Give the AI a specific prompt (audience, outcome, method), have it generate an outline and first draft, then apply your brand assets. Rewrite and fact-check every slide before presenting. AI gets you a draft fast. A person still has to check the brand, the facts and the story.

A blank slide deck is a slow start for workshops, webinars, pitches and course modules. AI presentation generators, including Adobe Express's Generate presentation tool, turn a topic prompt into a structured first draft you can edit.

The draft is the easy part. This workflow is about what happens next: making the deck look like your brand, sound like you, and say only things that are true.

IS THIS FOR YOU

Decision criteria.

USE IT WHEN
You know the material well and need structure and layout fast.
USE IT WHEN
You present often and want a reusable branded template to start from.
SKIP IT WHEN
The deck is mostly data or proprietary detail the AI can't know. Build it from your own source material.
BE CAREFUL WHEN
The deck goes to clients or the public under your name. Every generated claim needs checking.
THE WORKFLOW

Step by step.

  1. STEP 01

    Write a specific prompt

Name the audience, the outcome and the method: "a presentation that teaches [audience] how to [outcome] using [method]." Vague prompts produce generic decks. Specific ones produce a usable structure.

  2. STEP 02

Fix the outline before generating slides

Read the proposed outline first. Reorder, cut and add sections so the story matches what you'd actually teach. Changing structure here is cheaper than rebuilding slides later.

  3. STEP 03

    Generate, then apply your brand

Generate the draft and apply your brand colors, fonts and logo. Adobe documents uploading your own images and applying your brand after generation. Replace stock-feeling imagery with your own photos where it matters.

  4. STEP 04

    Rewrite in your voice

Rewrite headlines and speaker points the way you'd say them. Cut filler slides. A shorter deck in your voice beats a longer generic one.

  5. STEP 05

Run the brand and accuracy review

Check every statistic, quote, name and claim against a source you trust, and remove anything you can't verify. Check that generated images don't misrepresent real products, people or places. Review images against Adobe's generative AI guidelines.

  6. STEP 06

    Save it as a template

Once the deck is right, save the structure and styling as your starting point for the next one. That's what makes later decks genuinely faster.

LIMITATIONS

What this won't do.

  • AI-generated slides can include inaccurate or invented claims. Treat every generated fact as unverified until you check it.
  • Generated layouts and images still need a brand review. On-brand colors don't guarantee an on-brand message.
  • Feature names, availability and limits for AI tools change often. Check Adobe's current documentation.
  • This guide doesn't claim how long generation takes or what a deck is worth commercially.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Can I present an AI-generated deck as-is?
We wouldn't. Use the output as a draft. Rewrite it in your voice, verify the claims and apply your brand before it goes in front of an audience.
