PRISM Live Studio is a free streaming app from Naver for Windows, Apple Silicon Macs, iPhone and Android. The desktop version runs on the OBS engine. It's a good free way to go live from one app across phone and computer, but read the plan table before you plan a multistream. PRISM's official Plus guide lists the free plan at one streaming channel and Plus at six. The six-platform claim in the FAQ is a Plus feature.
What it does well
One app, every screen. PRISM's site lists Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS on Apple Silicon (Monterey 12.3 or later), and the App Store listing requires iOS 16. Plus is one subscription that covers the mobile, desktop and Lens apps.
OBS underneath. The Windows release notes show PRISM moved to the OBS 31.0 engine in version 5.0.0 (July 2025), and the latest Windows release is v5.1.3 (July 9, 2026). Anyone who knows OBS scenes and sources will feel at home, with templates and effects added on top.
Multistreaming on Plus. With Plus, the FAQ says you can stream to up to six platforms at once. Integrated chat kicks in when two or more of those channels are account-linked. PRISM supports RTMP, HLS (YouTube), WHIP (Twitch), SRT and RIST, and the FAQ lists YouTube settings up to 4K at 60 fps on PC.
Mobile-first tools. The phone app handles screencasts, overlays, beauty and face effects, and 3D VTuber avatars. Recent App Store updates added a voice changer and YouTube monetization support. That suits faceless creators and IRL streamers better than a desktop-only encoder does.
Local recording. On desktop you record from the output settings. On mobile, PRISM's FAQ describes a "Save video after streaming" option. Either way, the file ends up on your device.
Where it falls short
The free plan is narrower than the marketing suggests. PRISM's Plus comparison table lists one streaming channel on Free (mobile and desktop), two dual-output channels on desktop, ads in both apps, and a watermark plus an outro on free mobile streams.
We found no remote-guest or co-host feature in PRISM's FAQ or user guide, so treat it as a solo tool.
Intel Macs are out, because the Mac app requires Apple Silicon. Plus is sold only as an in-app purchase in the mobile app, even if you mostly stream from a PC. The App Store also lists PRISM Credits packs, and we couldn't confirm from official documentation what credits are used for.
Pricing in practice
PRISM Basic is free. PRISM Plus costs $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year in USD, per PRISM's Plus guide and the App Store listing. You're charged in your local currency, taxes may apply, and first-time subscribers get a two-week free trial.
Example: a creator streaming to YouTube, Twitch and Facebook every week. Assumptions: annual billing, list price, no credit purchases. Plus costs $79.99 a year, about $6.67 a month. That's below the paid tiers of most multistream relays, but you get no guests and no cloud studio.
Who should pick it (and who shouldn't)
Pick PRISM if you stream alone, from a phone or a desktop, and want one app with effects, VTuber tools and local recordings. Pay for Plus if you need more than one platform at once or a stream without PRISM branding.
Skip it if your show has guests, if you're on an Intel Mac, or if you want multistreaming for free.
Alternatives worth comparing
