Envato (the subscription formerly called Envato Elements) bundles stock video, music, sound effects, photos, graphics, templates, fonts and 3D files with a set of AI generators. Every individual plan includes unlimited downloads from a catalog Envato puts at 29+ million assets, under one commercial license. What changes between plans is the number of AI credits you get each month and how many AI generations can run at once. Core starts at $16.50 a month billed annually. Two license terms matter most: most items are licensed to one project at a time, and music can't be used on live streams.

What it does well
One library across formats. Envato's homepage lists 160,000+ video templates, 16.6M+ stock photos, 350,000+ music tracks, 950,000+ sound effects, 440,000+ graphic templates, 300,000+ graphics, 220,000+ presentation templates, 82,000+ fonts, 380,000+ 3D items and 40,000+ add-ons. Downloads are unlimited on every plan, subject to Envato's Fair Use Policy, which bars bots, account sharing and stockpiling downloads for after you cancel.
Templates for the software creators already use. Envato sorts its templates by compatible software: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Apple Motion, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve for video; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, Figma, Sketch and Canva for design; PowerPoint, Keynote and Word for documents; Blender and Spline for 3D.
Commercial use, including client work. Envato's pricing FAQ says every stock item carries the same license for commercial use, including client work and monetization. You can hand a finished project to a client under a limited sublicense, as long as your subscription is active when you deliver it and the client can't extract the asset and use it on its own.
Music cleared for regular YouTube and short-form uploads. Envato's License FAQ says music items can be used in regular YouTube uploads and in Facebook, Instagram and TikTok Reels and YouTube Shorts, with remixing turned off. A licensed intro or outro can run on every episode without relicensing, as long as it stays unchanged. Claim Clear, Envato's Content ID tool, lets you safelist up to 3 YouTube channels and clear up to 30 eligible videos a month, but only for tracks marked Claim Clear ready.
AI tools on every individual, team and student plan. Envato's AI tools cover image generation and editing, video, voiceover, music, sound effects, graphics and mockups. Envato names models including GPT Image 2, Gemini Omni, Flux 3, Nano Banana 2, Seedance 2.0, Minimax H3 and ElevenLabs, and says model availability can change without notice. AI Graphics offers 100+ styles, transparent PNGs and SVG export on many styles. AI Voice supports 30+ languages. The credit cost appears on the Generate button before you spend anything.
Finished projects stay covered. Once you complete a project while subscribed, the license for the items in it becomes perpetual, so cancelling doesn't mean taking down old videos or designs.
Where it falls short
There's no free trial. Envato's help center says the subscription has no free trial. A free account lets you browse the full catalog and download a selection of 12 free files. Cancelled subscriptions aren't refunded, and a used annual plan gets no partial refund, except where consumer law requires one. EU and UK residents can withdraw within 14 days of payment and get a refund if they haven't downloaded, accessed or licensed any content, unless they waived that right at checkout.
One license per project. Every item other than fonts and add-ons is licensed to one specific project. Reusing an item in a new project means creating a new license, which you can only do while subscribed. If you cancel before a project is finished, the licenses for it end. Fonts and add-ons work differently: they're licensed per install, for the subscriber only, on up to two computers per seat, and you can't install them after your subscription ends.
Music can't go on live streams or broadcast. Music items aren't licensed for broadcast, which Envato defines to include streaming TV and video-on-demand. The License FAQ names YouTube Live, Twitch, Facebook Live, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime as off-limits, and films using the music can't be released in theaters. Sound effects are allowed in broadcast. Broadcast rights for audio come only with Enterprise.
Merch, logos and trademarks are restricted. You can't sell a product whose main value is the item itself (a stock image printed as a poster, for example), use items in print-on-demand customizers, or resell items as stock or templates. The license bars trademark claims over an item inside your end product, though it says you can still claim rights in text or designs made with an item, such as a font, as long as the claim doesn't cover the item itself. Envato's License FAQ is stricter: it says you can't trademark a logo or other end product made with an Envato item.
AI credits are capped by plan. Core includes 20 AI credits a month. Plus has 200, and Ultimate has 500, 1,000 or 2,000. Credits reset monthly on your subscription date and don't roll over. Envato's help center lists two options when you run out: upgrade or wait for the reset. Most image, graphic, voice and sound actions start at 1 credit, while video generation may start at several. Envato says it may change credit costs.
You license AI output; you don't own it. Under Envato's AI Product Terms, you get a non-exclusive, perpetual commercial license to use outputs inside a larger end product. No ownership passes to you, outputs may not be unique, and Envato keeps the right to use your outputs, including for marketing, and to license them to other users. AI output can't be used as a trademark, and AI music can't be released as a standalone track.
Envato can withdraw a license. The license lets Envato terminate it for an item on reasonable notice, for example after a claim about the item or a problem with its rights. You'd then have to remove the item from your project.
Other limits. Envato doesn't support individual items (help comes from whatever the author put in the download), and the subscription doesn't cover items sold on Envato Market sites such as ThemeForest and AudioJungle.
Pricing in practice
Prices are in US dollars and exclude local tax, as shown on Envato's pricing pages on October 17, 2026.
- Core ($16.50/mo billed annually, or $39/mo billed monthly): unlimited stock downloads and 20 AI credits a month.
- Plus ($39/mo billed annually, or $59/mo billed monthly): adds 200 AI credits a month and 3 parallel AI generations.
- Ultimate (from $99/mo billed annually, or $149/mo monthly): 500 AI credits for $99 annually or $149 monthly, 1,000 for $168 or $259, or 2,000 for $297 or $459, with 10 parallel generations.
- Student: Core at 30% off, shown as $11.50 a month, for eligible students, faculty and staff aged 18 and over with an education email address.
- Teams (2 to 5 members): Core for 2 members costs $29/mo billed annually or $58 monthly, and $53.75/mo annually for 5. Plus starts at $74/mo annually for 2 members. On Plus and Ultimate, AI credits are per member. Envato says teams save up to 35% compared with individual Core.
- Enterprise: contact sales. Aimed at organizations with more than 50 employees; adds custom licensing, tailored indemnification, broadcast rights for audio and SSO. AI tools are on selected Enterprise plans only.
Subscriptions renew automatically, and Envato's terms say price changes are notified in advance. Upgrades apply immediately at a pro-rata rate; downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
Example (assumptions: one creator on Core for 12 months, list prices on Oct 17, 2026, USD before tax): $198 a year billed annually ($16.50 x 12) versus $468 paying $39 a month.
Who should pick it (and who shouldn't)
Pick Envato if you pull stock footage, music, templates and fonts into many videos, thumbnails and client projects each month and want one bill and one commercial license for all of it. Core fits stock-first workflows; Plus and Ultimate are for creators who also generate AI images, video or voiceovers regularly.
Skip it if you need music for live streams, broadcast or streaming platforms, plan to trademark a logo built from library items, need to own your AI outputs, or want to try it before paying.
